FULL TIME ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Are you the type of person who has never met a stranger? Do you have an innate curiosity about the inner workings of local business? Are you a problem solver and a creative thinker? If you are this person then your future awaits at a dynamic, fast-paced and interactive community radio station! We are now looking for an upbeat professional to serve as an Account Executive on our sales team.

Summary of Position:

You must be talented, energetic, self-motivated, disciplined and results-oriented. You have a Marketing (or similar) degree and a solid sales background. You have excellent writing and communication skills, savvy computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint), creative thinking, optimism, and professionalism. You must work well in a team environment, as well as independently, and enjoy meeting diverse people in the community.

Duties include:

  • Client management
  • Prospecting and research
  • Creating letters and mailers
  • C.N.A.s
  • Proposal writing and pitches
  • Creative production of commercial spots
  • On-air preparation
  • Attending station events and networking events
  • Managing production orders, start orders and contracts
  • Weekly sales and staff meetings

Students: Get Broadcast Experience For Credit!!

1360 WCHL News-Talk AM Radio Needs News and Marketing Interns.

Are you interested in commercial writing and/or news reporting

We need reporters with flexible hours and close ties to the university and community. Reporters will cover University issues such as Board of Trustee Meetings and UNC’s Board of Governor meetings, community issues, government meetings, politics and more.

Your byline and voice will be included and aired.

Interested in creative writing and acting?

Be creative and write commercials for radio.

Are you interested in social media, marketing, and production? Interns will assist with community and station events, promotions, sports broadcasts and live remotes.

We will provide you with recording equipment and studio use.

This internship will offer great, hands-on-experience that you just won’t get from a classroom. You will walk away from the internship with tangible audio and written pieces for your portfolio.

Some experience is preferred but not necessary. Dependability is a MUST.

This is a non-paid position.
