Andrew Young, ex-aide to John Edwards, says things got so bad while covering up for the former senator, that his own wife was threatened.

Nearly two years after giving birth to the two-time presidential candidate’s love child, Rielle Hunter has broken her silence in an interview with GQ magazine. The interview was conducted by Lisa DePaulo, a writer, Young says who was once contracted to write his book The Politician.

Young escaped serving 75-days in jail for contempt last Friday after a Pittsboro judge could not prove that Young intentionally lied under oath and was purposefully withholding a flash drive containing pictures of his Hunter and the daughter she had with Edwards. The National Enquirer, which broke the story of the affair, now says that Edwards is facing indictment by a Federal Grand Jury for allegedly misusing campaign funds.
