2010 UNC Football Schedule Released

Right on the heels of all the excitement of National Signing Day, today UNC released the 2010 football schedule.

A season-opener in Atlanta against perennial powerhouse LSU and a tough slate of opponents highlight the schedule.

Carolina begins its season on September 4. Eight of the Tar Heels 12 opponents won at least nine games last season. That means UNC has the toughest overall schedule out of any ACC team.

Carolina will have six home games against Georgia Tech, East Carolina, Clemson, William and Mary, Virginia Tech and NC State.

UNC will run into several hostile environments on the road at Rutgers, Virginia, Miami, Florida State and Duke.

After two Thursday night games in 2009, Carolina will only play on Saturday in the upcoming season.

Season tickets go on sale this Saturday. Carolina begins spring practice in a little more than a month.
