Successful Thanksgiving Run For Le Tour

There are several great reasons to participate in the annual Carrboro Turkey Trot says runner Randy Mews.

This year, the name of the race was changed to “The Double B Gallop and Gorge 8-K” in honor of the race founder and former owner of Fleet Feet in Carrboro Bobby Biles.

 The proceeds from the race this year go to the Arc of Orange County, El Centro Latino, Orange County Rape Crisis Center and the Optimist Club of Chapel Hill.

There were 986 participants listed as race finishers, though the crowd was well over one thousand.

Brian White, the owner of Fleet Feet, says this is the final race of “Le Tour de Carrboro.”

The preliminary results show Carrboro resident Marc Jeuland as the race winner with a time of 25 minutes and 30 seconds.
