A leaf vacuum truck is collecting leaves throughout Hillsborough, and will deliver leaves to those who want them.

Ken Hines, public works supervisor for the town of Hillsborough, says citizens can have leaves delivered to their homes.

Citizens can also have their leaves picked up by the leaf vacuum truck without a work order.  The leaves just have to be in a pile within four feet of the curb and the piles must be free of trash and debris.

Hines says local farms are requesting as many leaves as can be brought to them, but every once in a while left over leaves have to be brought to landfills.
