Tar Heel Football Ready For Boston College

Tar Heel football will travel to Chestnut Hills, Massachusetts for the first time since 1984 to take on Boston College in a battle of two teams trying to keep their respective winning streaks alive.

Junior quarterback T.J. Yates knows his team is in for a tough battle for four quarters but says a victory on an opponent’s home turf makes it all worth it.

Yates and the Carolina offence face a Boston College defense that currently ranks 4th in the conference. Expect a tough day on the ground for tailbacks Ryan Houston and Anthony Elzy as the Eagles are allowing only 3.1 yards a carry which ranks second in the league.

Carolina is a perfect 2-and-0 versus Boston College since the Eagles joined the ACC in 2005. Carolina also leads the all time series 3-2.  Expect another strong defensive performance from the Tar Heels as they will look to continue the efforts that have led to 14 interceptions this season.  Defensive back Kendric Burney, the star of last weeks game versus Miami, says his team will have to keep up the intensity to come out victorious tomorrow afternoon.

Kick-off between the Tar Heels and Eagles is scheduled for high noon with countdown to Kick-off with Ron Stutts scheduled for 9 o’clock.
