The 23rd annual Historic Hillsborough Candlelight tour will kick off next month and will feature eight private homes and historic sites that will light up the night for the holiday season. 

Margaret Wood Cannel, executive director of the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce, has hopes the tour will encourage residents to visit Hillsborough year around. 

Mark you calendars for Sunday, December 6th from Noon to 7 p.m. as some of Hillsborough’s most prominent landmarks will be on display.  Venues will also feature live music and refreshments.  Some of the new additions to the tour this year include a $3 per person wine tasting and up to 30 gingerbread houses will be on display at the Burwell School Historic Site.  Cannel adds this tour will enable visitors to take a little bit of Hillsborough with them when they return home. 

Attendees can also enjoy festive horse carriage rides from noon-to-5 p.m. for $5 per person.
