Orange County Government Services will open a few renovated and constructed buildings throughout Downtown Hillsborough. 

Pam Jones, director of asset management and purchasing services for Orange County, says these new improvements will equip Orange County with state-of-the-art facilities for generations to come. 

The recently opened Government Services Center on South Cameron Street in Hillsborough houses several offices which includes the County Manager, County Attorney, Financial Services Department and Human Resources, while the west campus on West Market Lane will be the site for Planning and Inspections, Erosion Control and economic development among others.  In addition all of the Hillsborough based offices of the Social Services Department will re-locate to the former Wal-Mart Facility in the Hillsborough Commons Shopping Center.  Jones adds these enhancements should make the services residents need the most, more accessible.
