A combination of State Fair traffic, fall break traffic and rush hour traffic in addition to game day traffic could lead to some major delays on Thursday.  Keenan Stadium will host its first ever Thursday night game as the Tar Heels take on the Florida State Seminoles.

Steve Kirschner, associate director of athletics for communications at UNC, says there will be a different parking schedule for the Thursday night game.

The Park and Ride lots will open at 4:30 p.m. and the shuttles will begin at 5 p.m.  Permitted parking will open at 5:30 p.m.  Tar Heel Town will be in full swing, and the Old Well Walk is scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m.

Interstate 40 can be busy on any work day.  Even though the game doesn’t start until 8 p.m., it is important to make sure you give yourself ample time to ensure you don’t miss any of the game.

Kirschner says the municipal lots will be open all day.
