The UNC women’s center will sponsor public discussion Thursday night on labor and welfare for immigrant women and a talk will be given by Grace Chang, associate professor at UC-Santa Barbara.

Chang is taking up a two-day residency at the Chapel Hill campus, according to Joseph Jordan, associate professor and director of the Sonja Haynes Stone Center, which is hosting the residency.

He said Chang was chosen to lead this two-day residency, because her studies have led her to have a thorough knowledge of these pressing issues.  

This free, public roundtable discussion takes place at 7 p.m. in the Sonya Haynes Stone Center’s Hitchcock multipurpose room.
