Athletic Merchandise Varies In Public Demand

UNC was the highest ranked school in a recently released Collegiate Licensing Company list of top-selling universities.

The list looked at collegiate merchandise for the 2009-2010 fiscal year, and UNC came in seventh overall. The next highest ACC school was Florida State at number 21.

The lowest ACC school on the list was Boston College at number 56. Wake forest, N.C. State and Virginia Tech were not ranked.

The list had 75 schools on it and the University of Texas came in first.

Earlier in the year Forbes magazine ranked UNC as the most valuable basketball program in the country. Forbes’ list came out in March, and Duke and Maryland were the only other ACC schools in the top 20.
