	IFC Looking To Move Forward 11/05/09 03:37PM The Board of Directors for InterFaith Council would like to move forward with the combination of the community kitchen and the food pantry according to Chris Moran, executive director of IFC. The community house is currently located in the Old Municipal Building at the corner of Rosemary and Columbia St. Moran says the IFC has been attempting to move both the community kitchen and the men’s shelter to permanent locations for over a decade. He says the town has asked IFC to return the Old Municipal Building. The community kitchen would combine with the food pantry at the IFC location in Carrboro, which would then be called Food First. Moran says there is a blog on the IFC Web site that chronicles the search for a viable site. Moran says the IFC will consider alternative sites, but will begin moving forward with their plans for the Food First model in Carrboro at the end of the year.
