Members of the State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) have openly protested against Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina as part of a campaign to change health care.

Will Cubbison, health care campaign director for SEANC says their voices have been heard.   

The protest took place this morning in front of the North Carolina headquarters located on 15-501. The group was part of the Service Employees International Union's "Change that Works" campaign during today’s "We Can't Wait for Affordable Health Care" day.

The group is demanding that Blue Cross not fight a public health care option and instead put North Carolina citizens first. 

Cubbison says the next step will be to pressure Washington.

He says the public health care option will provide affordability, choice and competition to Blue Cross' 72.5% market share in North Carolina.
