Suspect Connected In Robbery Captured

Durham Police arrested George Leavon Gattis today in connection to the crime.  Police say the man presented a bank teller with a note and left on foot after receiving cash.  He was last seen heading on foot towards Chapel Hill North.

Chapel Hill Police worked with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department to develop information leading to the identification of Gattis as the suspect.  He was later located in Durham.

Gattis is currently being interviewed by the Chapel Hill Police.
