The Carolina Inn is among the local spots highlighted in a weekend article by the New York Times.

Mark Nelson, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Carolina Inn, was happy with the publicity.

The Carolina Inn was profiled with other local restaurants, museums and shops in an article entitled “36 Hours in Research Triangle.” Writer J.J. Goode spent 36 hours traveling across the area and visiting spots like Durham Bulls Athletic Park, and Cat’s Cradle, Mama Dip’s and the Crook’s Corner.

Goode mentioned how the Carolina Inn isn’t your typical on-campus hotel since it also has in-room massages and dry-cleaning service.

Nelson said profiles from a paper as powerful as the Times can only help the Carolina Inn’s reputation.

The article appeared in the Times’ June 14th edition.
