UNC Attempts To Regain Title

UNC plans to use the home court advantage of the Smith Center to reclaim their lost title.

In 1993, UNC set the record for the largest single-day, single-site blood drive ever in North Carolina with 1,052 pints of blood.  That record stood for 15 years until Appalachian State bested the record by a mere 8 pints.

Katrina Coble, chair of the Carolina Blood Drive committee, talked about the event scheduled for June 2nd.

The American Red Cross needs about 1,600 units of blood each day for our area to meet the need of local hospitals.

Coble talked about other benefits to be offered at their blood drive.

Once again, the event will be held at the Dean Smith Center on June 2nd.  The event will run from 7 A.M. to 6 P.M.  If you are interested in donating, please call 962-5663 or visit web.redcrossblood.org.
