| After a year of preparation and fund raising, over 650 students and 300 volunteers spent 24 hours on their feet at the UNC Dance Marathon on February 23-24, 2007. The Marathon is an overnight event in which "dancers" pledge to stay on their feet for 24 hours in order to show their support for the North Carolina Children's Hospital. The UNC Dance Marathon raised a record-breaking $236,786.12, adding to the more than $1.3 million that has been raised during the Marathon's 9-year history. |
